Step 7. Profiling.

Now you'll mark out exactly where your new building structure will go using string lines and pegs. This stage will normally be done by a professional surveyor contractor so you won't have to worry too much about the formalities of this stage.

Profiling is basically preparing your block and marking out the perimeters of the house.

This is best done by a licensed surveyor who is experienced in profiling. It is best to negotiate with your surveyor a number of visits. Rather than relying on one visit from your surveyor, have them come first to peg out the perimeter of your house, then once the plumbers and concreters have completed their pre-slab work the survey would return to pin the exact locations of the perimeter of the house.
