While the steel kit home designs (also known as kit houses, prefab homes or diy kit homes) can be modified to suit your personal requirements, you also have the option to design yourown custom home. In fact a large number of our clients choose to modify the plans to suit their land size and budget. Building Kit Homes as an owner builder is a great option to fruther save a considerable amount of money on building your own kit home. Becoming an owner builder is not as daunting as it may first appear and generally only involves doing a one or two day owner builder's course. Once you have your owner builder's permit you can then choose to simply manage the project or you may choose to also do some on-site work yourself. The decision is up to you.
